Population of Fujairah reached 292,358 according to mid-year population estimates of 2020.

According to Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, the estimated population of UAE nationals as of 2010 in the emirate of Fujairah was:

• Males: 32,486
• Females: 32,374
• Total: 64,860

Fujairah is completely located on the eastern coast of the UAE and is thus the only emirate, with an area of about 1,450 square kilometers, or about 1.9% of the total area of the country, as it is considered the fifth emirate in terms of area.

The emirate is divided into two separate parts with a coastal strip of 70 km from the south, reaching the city of Dibba in the far north of the emirate and separated by the city of Kalba of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The opening of the Sheikh Khalifa Highway, which connects Fujairah with Dubai, had a great impact in linking the emirate to the rest of the UAE. Reducing the time required to reach it, after it was isolated due to the rugged Al Hajar mountain range that divides the United Arab Emirates into two parts, starting from Ras Al Khaimah down to the city of Al Ain.

The emirate of Fujairah shares its boundaries with the emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah on the west and the emirate of Sharjah to the south. On the north, it shares its international border with the Sultanate of Oman.

It also holds the third position in the world for storing oil and petroleum derivatives. The port of Fujairah is one of the most important ports for shipping livestock in the world, where major livestock companies have established their main stations for sheep, and cows in the Arabian Peninsula within the port of Fujairah, and the government facilitated customs procedures and provided excellent infrastructure to support investors in building, developing and diversifying their business activities.

Its eastern location, moderate climate and diverse nature compared to the rest of the Emirates helped it to be a tourist destination for relaxation and recreation.
Fujairah is distinguished with its rugged mountains, valleys, waterfalls, oases and wide sandy beaches. It has several hot, cold and mineral springs such as Wadi Al Wurayah waterfalls, Ain Al Madhab Gardens and Ain Ghomour.

Its distinctive marine nature has also attracted marine sports lovers from all over the world to swim, boat racing, water skiing and fishing.
The emirate is also rich in many archaeological monuments, some of which date back to about five centuries. Fujairah Fort is one of the most important and largest forts in the emirate, which is located at an altitude of 20 meters above sea level.
