Martyr's Day is the occasion on which the United Arab Emirates celebrates on November 30 of each year its martyrs who were martyred while performing their national tasks inside or outside the country. Within the armed forces and the Ministry of the Interior, diplomacy or national service recruits, Martyr's Day was announced in 2015 in a decree issued by the President of the State, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This day is an official holiday for all government and private departments.
